The tour of the South African national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1952/53 season took place from March 6 to 17, 1953. The international cricket tour was part of the 1952/53 international cricket season and comprised five tests . South Africa won the series 1–0.

South Africa previously did a tour in Australia , for New Zealand it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1931/32 season in New Zealand .
