The tour of England's national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1977/78 season took place from February 10 to March 10, 1978. The international cricket tour was part of the 1977/78 international cricket season and included three tests . The series ended 1-1 in a draw.

England previously played a tour in Pakistan , for New Zealand it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1974/75 season in New Zealand .
