English national cricket team in India for the 2012/13 season
The England national cricket team's tour to India in the 2012/13 season took place from November 15, 2012 to January 27, 2013. The international cricket tour was part of the 2012/13 international cricket season and included four tests , five ODIs and two Twenty20s . England won the Test Series 3–2, India the ODI Series 3–2, while the Twenty20 Series 1–1 ended in a draw.
prehistory
It was the first tour of the season for both teams. At the previous ICC World Twenty20 2012 , India won against England in the preliminary round and both teams were eliminated in the subsequent Super8 round. The last tour of the two teams against each other took place in the 2011/12 season in India . In the run-up to the tour, numerous media representatives had problems with the Indian association BBCI over restrictions on access to the games, which resulted in a boycott.
