The 1997/98 season tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team to India took place from November 19 to December 28, 1997. The international cricket tour was part of the 1997/98 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . The test series ended 0–0 and the ODI series 1–1 a draw.

India previously played a tour against Pakistan , Sri Lanka a four-nation tournament in Pakistan . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1997 season in Sri Lanka .
