The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium , often abbreviated to VCA Stadium , is a cricket stadium in Nagpur , India .
Capacity & Infrastructure
The stadium was built in 2008 and replaced the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground . It has a capacity of 45,000 spectators. The ends are called Pavilion End and Secretary End . The name is derived from the large landscape of the same name , the main town of which is the city of Nagpur.
International cricket
The first international game was a test between India and Australia between November 6 and 10, 2008. The first One-Day International was played on October 28, 2009 between India and Australia. At the 2011 Cricket World Cup , four preliminary round matches were played in this stadium.
National cricket
The stadium serves as the home of the Vidarbha cricket team in both the Ranji Trophy and other national competitions. Furthermore, the stadium was used for three home games of the now defunct Deccan Chargers in the 2010 season in the Indian Premier League .
