The tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team to the West Indies in the season 1997 took place from June 13 to 24, 1997. The international cricket tour was part of the 1997 international cricket season and included two tests and an ODI . The West Indies won both series 1–0.

prehistory

Sri Lanka previously played a four-nation tournament in India , for the West Indies it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1993/94 season in Sri Lanka .
