English national cricket team in the West Indies for the 2008-09 season
The tour of England's national cricket team to the West Indies in the 2008/09 season took place from January 25th to April 3rd, 2009. The international cricket tour was part of the 2008/09 international cricket season and included five test matches , one twenty20 and five ODIs . The West Indies won the Test series 1-0 and the Twenty20, while England won the ODI series 3-2.

The game was abandoned after ten balls bowled because the bowlers were unable to find enough grip in the sandy outfield to bowl safely . Instead, a new test was scheduled at the Antigua Recreation Ground at short notice . The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium was then closed by the world association for international cricket.
