South African national cricket team in the West Indies for the 2000/01 season
The tour of the South African national cricket team to the West Indies in the 2000/01 season took place from March 4 to May 16, 2001. The international cricket tour was part of the 2000/01 international cricket season and included five test matches and seven ODIs . South Africa won the test series 2-1 and the ODI series 5-2.
prehistory
The West Indies previously contested a three-nation tournament in Australia , South Africa a tour against Sri Lanka . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1998/99 season in South Africa .
