Coca-Cola Champions Trophy 2000/01

The Coca-Cola Champions Trophy 2000/01 was a three-nation tournament that was held from October 20th to 29th, 2000 in the United Arab Emirates in one-day cricket . In which, for international cricket 2000/01 belonging tournament took teams from India , Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka in part. In the final, Sri Lanka was able to prevail against India with 245 runs.

prehistory

All three teams previously played at the ICC KnockOut 2000 in Kenya . Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe were eliminated in the quarter-finals, while India only lost to New Zealand in the final .

format

In a preliminary round, each team played twice against each other. There were two points for a win and 1 point for a draw or no result. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
