Carlton Series 2000/01
The Carlton Series 2000/01 was a three-nation tournament that was played from January 11 to February 9, 2001 in Australia in one-day cricket . In the tournament, which was part of the international cricket season 2000/01 , teams from Zimbabwe and the West Indies took part alongside the host . Australia won the final series against the West Indies 2–0.
prehistory
The tournament took place after the test series, which the West Indies denied in Australia and which Australia had won 5–0. Zimbabwe previously played a tour in India .
format
In a preliminary round, each team played four times each. There were two points for a win and one point for a draw or no result. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played there in the best-of-three mode for the tournament victory.
