South African national cricket team in the West Indies in the 2010 season
The South African national cricket team's tour of the West Indies in the 2010 season took place from May 19 to June 30, 2010. The international cricket tour was part of the 2010 international cricket season and included two Twenty20s , five ODIs and three test matches . South Africa won the Twenty20 series 2-0, the ODI series 5-0 and the test series 2-0.
prehistory
Heading
The West Indies only ran tests on this tour this home season. In addition to the originally planned game plan from December 2009, which only provided for one Twenty20 game, another one was agreed in February 2010. The scheduled stages for the ODI series were changed again a month before the start of the tour when Trinidad and Tobago called for elections for the House of Representatives on May 24th . This led to the fact that the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua was put back into the program, which had been suspended by the ICC the year before after being on the tour against England due to playing field problems . Due to riots and the declarations of a state of emergency in Jamaica , the games planned in Kingston were moved to Trinidad .
classification
In direct preparation for this tour, the ICC World Twenty20 was held in England in 2009 , in which both teams were eliminated in the group stage.
