Triangular Series in Zimbabwe in the 2010 season

The Triangular Series in Zimbabwe of the 2010 season was a three-nation tournament that was held from May 28 to June 9, 2010 in Zimbabwe in one-day cricket . In addition to the host, teams from India and Sri Lanka took part in the tournament, which was part of the 2010 international cricket season . In the final, Sri Lanka was able to prevail against Zimbabwe with 9 wickets.

prehistory

Sri Lanka last played a tour against New Zealand in the USA . All three teams also played at ICC World Twenty20 2010 . Zimbabwe was eliminated in the preliminary round, India in the Super 8 round and Sri Lanka in the semi-finals.

format

In a preliminary round, each team played twice against each other. There were four points for a win, two points for a draw or no result. Bonus points were also awarded. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
