The Triangular Series in Sri Lanka in the 2010 season was a three-nation tournament that was held from August 10 to 28, 2010 in Sri Lanka in one-day cricket . In addition to the host, teams from India and New Zealand took part in the tournament, which was part of the 2010 international cricket season . In the final, Sri Lanka was able to prevail against India with 74 runs.

India and Sri Lanka previously competed against each other on a tour in Sri Lanka . New Zealand previously played a tour against Sri Lanka in the USA .

format

In a preliminary round, each team played twice against each other. There were four points for a win, two points for a draw or no result. Bonus points were also awarded. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
