New Zealand national cricket team in Australia for the 2008-09 season

The New Zealand national cricket team's tour to Australia in the 2008-09 season took place from November 13, 2008 to February 15, 2009. The international cricket tour was part of the 2008/09 international cricket season and included two test matches , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . Australia won the Test series 2-0 and the Twenty20, the ODI series ended 2-2.

prehistory

Australia last played a tour in India , New Zealand in Bangladesh . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2006/07 season in New Zealand . There was a two-month break between the test series and the ODI series, during which Australia played a tour against South Africa .
