New Zealand national cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2009 season
The New Zealand national cricket team tour to Sri Lanka in the 2009 season took place from August 18 to September 4, 2009. The international cricket tour was part of the 2009 international cricket season and included two test matches and two Twenty20s . Sri Lanka won both Tests while New Zealand won both Twenty20s.
prehistory
Sri Lanka last played a tour against Pakistan , New Zealand against India . Following this tour, the two teams competed in a tri-series with India . As a consequence, the originally planned five ODIs on this tour were canceled.
