Pakistani national cricket team in Sri Lanka in the 2012 season
The 2012 season tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to Sri Lanka took place from June 1 to July 12, 2012. The international cricket tour was part of the 2012 international cricket season and included two Twenty20s , five ODIs and three test matches . Sri Lanka won the Test series 1-0 and the ODI series 3-1, while the Twenty20 series ran out 1-1.
prehistory
The last tour of the two teams was held the year before in the United Arab Emirates and was clearly dominated by Pakistan. Since this was the beginning of a season at the end of which the ICC World Twenty20 took place in 2012 , the Twenty20 series of the two teams was seen in preparation for it. As a result, Pakistan installed a new captain in Mohammad Hafeez , after the previous Misbah-ul-Haq had resigned.
