Pakistani national cricket team in India in the 2004/05 season

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to India in the 2004/05 season took place in two parts on November 13, 2004 and from March 8 to April 17, 2005. The international cricket tour was part of the 2004/05 international cricket season and initially included an ODI and again three tests and six ODIs. Pakistan won the sole ODI and the ODI series 4–2, while the test series 1–1 ended in a draw.

prehistory

Before the first ODI, India played a tour against Australia and Pakistan played a tour against Sri Lanka . Before the second part of the tour, India played a tour against Bangladesh and Pakistan played a three-nation tournament in Australia . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Pakistan in the 2003/04 season .

The second test was originally supposed to take place in Ahmedabad, which Pakistan tried to prevent due to the security situation. After threatening a boycott, India changed the schedule and instead awarded an ODI to Ahmedabad.
