The 2015/16 season tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team to India took place from February 9-14, 2016. The international cricket tour was part of the 2015/16 international cricket season and included three Twenty20s . India won the series 2–1.

prehistory

India previously played a tour in Australia , Sri Lanka in New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Sri Lanka in the 2015 season . The second Twenty20 was originally supposed to take place in Delhi, but it was relocated to Ranchi as it was not approved by the authorities.
