The tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team to New Zealand in the 1990/91 season took place from January 31 to March 5, 1991. The international cricket tour was part of the 1990/91 international cricket season and included three tests and three ODIs . New Zealand won the ODI series 3–0, while the Test series 0–0 ended in a draw.

New Zealand previously played a three-nation tournament in Australia , while Sri Lanka took part in the 1990 Asia Cup . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1986/87 season in Sri Lanka .
