The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to India in the 1998/99 season took place from January 29 to February 7, 1999. The international cricket tour was part of the 1998/99 international cricket season and included two tests . The series ended 1-1 in a draw.

India previously did a tour in New Zealand , Pakistan a tour against Zimbabwe . The last meeting of the two teams took place in the 1989/90 season in Pakistan .

In the fourth innings , Indian Anil Kumble scored all ten wickets in 74 allowed runs. He was thus after the Englishman Jim Laker , who succeeded in the Ashes Tour in 1956 , only the second bowler who managed to score all 10 wickets of an inning in a test for his team.
