Pakistani national cricket team in Ireland for the 2018 season

The 2018 season tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to Ireland took place from May 11-15, 2018. The international cricket tour was part of the 2018 international cricket season and included a test . Pakistan won the Test Series 1–0. It included Ireland's first test, making it the eleventh test nation.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. Ireland and Afghanistan received test status on June 22nd, 2017 . It was the first elevation of a team to a test nation since the rise of Bangladesh in 2000. On April 27, it was announced that Sky Sports and RTÉ had secured the broadcast rights to the Irish home games of the 2018 season for 1.8 million euros. Pakistan played two games in England against English counties in preparation, as it continued a test series in England after this tour .

Although the test was originally scheduled for 5 days, the first day was canceled due to heavy rain and accordingly it was played within 4 days.
