Netherlands Tri-Nation Series 2018

The Netherlands Tri-Nation Series 2018 was a three-nation tournament that took place from June 12 to 20, 2018 in the Netherlands in Twenty20 cricket. In addition to the host, teams from Ireland and Scotland took part in the tournament, which is part of the 2018 international cricket season . The tournament was won by Scotland.

prehistory

Ireland previously played their first test against Pakistan , and it is the first tour of the season for the Netherlands and Scotland.

format

In a group, each team plays each other twice. There are two points for a win, one point for a tie or no result. The group winner is the winner of the tournament.

The game was the first Twenty20 International that a tie was not decided by a decision method such as the Super Over. The reason for this was a misinterpretation of the rules by the referees, as the world association International Cricket Council concluded.
