The West Indies cricket team's tour against ICC World XI in the 2018 season took place in England on May 31, 2018 . The international cricket tour was part of the 2018 international cricket season and included a Twenty20 game. West Indies won the game by 72 runs.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for the West Indies. The game was organized to raise funds to combat the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria . Both hurricanes occurred in September 2017 and severely damaged James Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla and Windsor Park in Dominica , among others . The ICC has also decided to grant the game full international status.

The ICC announced the roster on May 7, 2018. The Englishman Eoin Morgan was originally intended to be the captain of the world selection, but had to cancel a few days earlier due to an injury.
