Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series 2018

The Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series 2018 was a three-nation tournament that was played from July 1st to 8th, 2018 in Zimbabwe in Twenty20 cricket. In addition to the host, teams from Australia and Pakistan took part in the tournament, which is part of the 2018 international cricket season . In the final, Pakistan beat Australia with 6 wickets.

prehistory

Australia recently did a tour in England , as did Pakistan . For Zimbabwe it was the first tour of the season. Before the tournament, there were several doubts about the event, as the Zimbabwean players threatened to boycott due to outstanding payments from the association.

format

In a group, each team plays each other twice. There are four points for a win, two points for a draw or no result. The two best of the group stage qualified for the final where the winner was played.
