Capacity & Infrastructure
The stadium has a capacity of 37,400 and is equipped with a floodlight system. The two wicket ends are the Pavilion End and the Hill End .
International cricket
The first international game was a Twenty20 on the Tour of England in India in the 2012/13 season . Since then it has been the venue for several international matches. The first One-Day International was held here in October 2013 between India and Australia . The first test match at this stadium took place between Pakistan and India in February 2017 . A scandal occurred when a groundskeeper was filmed by a TV team with a hidden camera during the New Zealand tour in India in the 2017/18 season , as he offered to manipulate the pitch .
National cricket
The stadium is the home of Maharashtra in Indian national cricket. It is and has been a venue for numerous IPL teams . These include Pune Warriors India , Kings XI Punjab , Rising Pune Supergiants and Chennai Super Kings .
