The tour of the English national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 1922/23 season took place from December 23, 1922 to February 22, 1923. The international cricket tour was part of the 1922/23 international cricket season and included five tests . England won the series 2–1.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in South Africa in the 1913/14 season .
