The Sahara Stadium Kingsmead is a Cricket - Stadium in the South African city of Durban . The stadium serves as the home of the dolphin .

Capacity and infrastructure

The stadium has a seating capacity of 25,000. The two ends are called Umgeni End and Old Fort End .

use

International cricket has been played in the stadium since 1923, but was discontinued in 1970 with the stop of international cricket in South Africa. It only continued in 1991, with the first test after South Africa's re-admission being held in this stadium . At the 2003 Cricket World Cup , five games took place here, including a semi-final.
