The tour of the Australian national cricket team to South Africa in the 1949/50 season took place from December 24, 1949 to March 6, 1950. The international cricket tour was part of the 1949/50 international cricket season and comprised five tests . Australia won the series 4–0.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in South Africa in the 1935/36 season .
