The Ashes tour in 1964 was the tour of the Australian Cricket Team , the 42nd staging of the Ashes included, and was held between June 4 and 18 August 1964th The international cricket tour was part of the 1964 international cricket season and included five test matches . Australia won the series 1-0.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1962/63 season in Australia .
