The tour of the Australian national cricket team to South Africa in the 2001/02 season took place from February 17 to April 9, 2002. The international cricket tour was part of the 2001/02 international cricket season and included three test matches and seven ODIs . Australia won the test series 2-1 and the ODI series 5-1.
prehistory
Both teams previously played a three-nation tournament with New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in Australia in the same season .
