The tour of the Australian national cricket team to the West Indies in the 1977/78 season took place from February 22 to May 3, 1978. The international cricket tour was part of the 1977/78 international cricket season and included five tests and two ODIs . The West Indies won the Test Series 3–1 while the ODI Series 1–1 ended in a draw.

Australia previously played a tour against India , for the West Indies it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1975/76 season in Australia .
