Asia Cup 2012
The Asia Cup 2012 was the 11th edition of the cricket competition for Asian national teams that is held in ODI format . In the final Pakistan was able to prevail against Bangladesh with 2 runs.

The participants were host Bangladesh, the remaining three nations with test status .
format
In a group stage, each team played against each other. The winner of a game got 4 points, for a tie or no result there are 2 points. If the winning team's run rate exceeded 1.25 times that of the losing team, they received a bonus point. The two group winners then play the tournament winner in the final.

India named its squad on February 29, Sri Lanka on March 2, Pakistan on March 3, and Bangladesh on March 6.
