Eugen Bartmer

Eugen Bartmer (* 1937 in Vienna ) is an Austrian machine fitter and award-winning writer.

Live and act

Bartmer learned the trade of machine fitter and worked in industry from 1952 to 1994. He has been literary since 1976 and received the Theodor Körner Prize in 1980 . In 2002, “Der Menschenfresser” was named the best book at the Leipzig Book Fair . Other publications include a. in "The Tarantula - Workshop Literature of the Working World". Bartmer is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly , he writes self-deprecating prose and sinister poems and also appeared at the Linkes Wort event in Vienna.
