Singer Triangular Series 2000

The Singer Triangular Series 2000 was a three-nation tournament that was held from July 5th to 14th, 2000 in Sri Lanka in one-day cricket . In addition to the host, teams from Pakistan and South Africa took part in the tournament, which was part of the 2000 international cricket season . In the final, Sri Lanka was able to prevail against South Africa with 30 runs.

prehistory

Pakistan and Sri Lanka played a test tour in Sri Lanka immediately before , which Pakistan won 2–1. It was the first tour of the season for South Africa.

format

In a preliminary round, each team played twice against each other. There were two points for a win and 1 point for a draw or no result. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
