NatWest Series 2000
The NatWest Series 2000 was a three-nation tournament that was held from July 6-22, 2000 in England in one-day cricket . In addition to the hosts, teams from Zimbabwe and the West Indies took part in the tournament, which was part of the 2000 international cricket season . In the final, England beat Zimbabwe with 6 wickets .
prehistory
The tournament was part of the tour of the West Indies in England , after England had previously played a tour against Zimbabwe .
format
In a preliminary round, each team played against each other three times. There were two points for a win and 1 point for a draw or no result. The first two of the group qualified for the final and played for the tournament victory.
