ICC Super Series 2005

The ICC Super Series 2005 was a clash between the Australian national cricket team and a world selection and took place from October 5th to 17th, 2005. The international cricket tour took place during the 2005/06 international cricket season and included a test and three ODIs . Australia won the Test Series 1-0 and the ODI Series 3-0.

prehistory

The series was planned as a four-year event between the world leader and one of the best players from the other test nations. Australia had dominated international cricket in previous years and was the first team to compete against the international selection. However, Australia had lost the Ashes to England the previous summer . The games were officially awarded test and ODI status by the world association ICC .
