New Zealand national cricket team in South Africa for the 2005/06 season

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tour of the New Zealand national cricket team to South Africa in the 2005/06 season took place in two parts from October 23 to November 6, 2005 and from April 15 to May 7, 2006. The international cricket tour was part of the 2005/06 international cricket season and included three tests , five ODIs and one Twenty20 . South Africa won the test series 2–0, the ODI series 4–0, while New Zealand won the Twenty20 series with 1–0.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2003/04 season in New Zealand . The tour was divided into two parts, as South Africa with several commitments this season would otherwise not have been able to keep them.
