Brandon Josiah LaFell (* 4. November 1986 in Houston , Texas ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played for the Carolina Panthers , the New England Patriots , the Cincinnati Bengals and the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL). With the Patriots he was able to win the Super Bowl XLIX .
college
LaFell attended Louisiana State University and played college football for their team, the Tigers, with great success between 2006 and 2009 . He and his team won the title in the Southeastern Conference 2007 and the BCS National Championship Game in 2008, running a total of 2,517 yards and achieving 26 touchdowns .
NFL
Carolina Panthers
LaFell was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft as the 78th player . In his rookie season, he appeared in 14 games, twice as a starter .
In 2011 he succeeded in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a pass from Cam Newton a 91-yard touchdown, which he holds the franchise record.
New England Patriots
After four successful seasons with the Panthers, he moved to the New England Patriots in 2014 , with whom he was able to win the Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks , where he scored the first touchdown of the game. In the 2015 season he was significantly less successful; he only managed 37 catches.
Cincinnati Bengals
In March 2016 he was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals . In two seasons LaFell was able to achieve 9 touchdowns
