Michael Patrick Hoomanawanui (* 4. July 1988 in Bloomington , Illinois ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of tight end . He last played for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL) and previously for the New England Patriots and the St. Louis Rams .

Hoomanawanui attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and played college football for their team, the Fighting trainee, between 2006 and 2009 .

NFL

St. Louis Rams

Hoomanawanui was selected in the 2010 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams in the 5th round as 132nd overall. In two seasons he played 16 games for his team, 11 times as a starter .

New England Patriots

In 2012 he moved to the New England Patriots, but was rarely used due to the outstanding performance of Rob Gronkowski . He was able to with his team in 2014 Super Bowl win was there but less because of his game - he was only one time pass receiver and erlief four yards - but rather by its participation in the fisticuffs after the decisive interception on.
