Mount Schevill is a 1995 m high and distinctive mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it rises at the head of the Somero Glacier and 8 km southeast of Mount Johnstone .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after William Edward Schevill (1906-1994), biologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program at McMurdo Station from 1964 to 1965.
