Gerrit Nauber (born April 13, 1992 in Georgsmarienhütte ) is a German football player .

Career

society

Nauber was born in Georgsmarienhütte , but grew up and went to school in Bad Iburg . There he also started playing soccer at TuS Glane . He also played a year in the youth department of Viktoria 08 Georgsmarienhütte before joining VfL Osnabrück . In the summer of 2011 he moved from the U-19s to the 2nd team at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In his first season, Nauber completed all 36 league games of the season.

On July 1, 2012, Nauber moved within the Regionalliga West from Leverkusen to Sportfreunde Lotte . In this season 2012/13 he was with Lotte champion in the Regionalliga West, but failed in the promotion round to the 3rd division at RB Leipzig . In the following 2013/14 season he was runner-up with Lotte and in 2015 he won the Westphalia Cup for the first time with Sportfreunde .

After the renewed championship in the 2015/16 season , after a 2-0 win in the second leg against SV Waldhof Mannheim, they were promoted to the third division . Nauber made his debut in this division on July 31, 2016, the 1st matchday. In the 3-0 win over Werder Bremen II , he scored the last goal of the game in the 85th minute. Nauber has been the team's captain since February 2015.

In summer 2017 he switched to MSV Duisburg, who had previously been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . After the MSV was relegated to the 3rd division , the defender's contract was not extended in spring 2019. For the MSV, the defender was in 64 second division games in two years.

At the beginning of July 2019, Nauber signed a two-year contract with SV Sandhausen .

National team

Nauber played games for the U15 to U18 national teams between 2007 and 2009. In 2009 he won the European Championship with the German U17s . At the subsequent U17 World Cup , he was also part of the squad again, where the DFB Juniors were eliminated in the round of 16.
