Sören Dieckmann (born January 16, 1996 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with SV Sandhausen . He is mainly used as a left defender .

Career

Sören Dieckmann was born in Dortmund and started playing football in neighboring Rüdinghausen . Until he came of age, he was trained in the youth teams of VfL Bochum , DJK TuS Hordel and TSC Eintracht Dortmund . He was then signed by the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund , in whose U19 he was used in the A-Junior Bundesliga for the 2014/15 season .

In the summer of 2015, the left-back was integrated into the second BVB team , which returned to the Regionalliga West after being relegated from the 3rd division . In 89 games, in which he was mostly part of the permanent staff, Dieckmann scored 11 goals.

During the winter break of the 2018/19 second division season , he signed a two-year contract with SV Sandhausen and took part in the training camp in Antalya with the team . In the 1: 2 away defeat in Hamburg , Dieckmann came on shortly before half-time and made his debut in left midfield in professional football. At the end of the season he only just held the class with the team in fifteenth place, but had been absent since April due to a knee injury.
