Erik Zenga (born January 18, 1993 in Kostroma , Russia ) is a German football player of Russian origin who is under contract with SV Sandhausen .

Career

Erik Zenga is the son of an Angolan and a Russian . He was persuaded by a classmate from elementary school to join the Leverkusen district club BV Bergisch Neukirchen when he was seven . He joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen's U-8 team in 2001. He went through all youth teams until the pupil of the District Administrator-Lucas-Gymnasium made it into the second team in 2012. From there he was loaned to VfL Osnabrück for the 2013/14 season , for which he was also regularly used. For the 2014/15 season, Zenga moved to SC Preußen Münster .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to SV Sandhausen . Zenga made his league debut for Sandhausen on the 4th matchday of the 2017/18 season when he came on for Eroll Zejnullahu in the 52nd minute in the 1: 2 home game defeat by Fortuna Düsseldorf . In August 2017, Zenga extended the SVS until June 30, 2020 and was then loaned to Halleschen FC for one year .

National team

Zenga completed an international match for the German U-19 national team and games for the U-20s.
