Enrique Manuel Peña Zauner (born March 4, 2000 in Offenbach am Main ) is a Venezuelan - German football player .

Peña Zauner was mainly trained at Eintracht Frankfurt and has both German and Venezuelan citizenship. He is under contract with SV Sandhausen .

Career

Peña Zauner, the son of a Venezuelan father and a German mother, began playing football in the neighboring city of his native city in the Eintracht Frankfurt youth training center before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 . After he was absent due to a fracture due to fatigue, the offensive player was used in thirteen games in the western season of the A-Youth Bundesliga and scored two goals. The BVB U19 qualified for the finals and were eliminated from the eventual champions Hertha BSC . The following season he had his breakthrough when he scored eight goals in 22 games and also scored one goal in six games in the UEFA Youth League and four appearances in the DFB Junior Club Cup . After Peña Zauner had played for the Hessian U15 and U16 national team and had played three games for the German U16 national team , he decided to play for the Venezuelan national team.

With the Venezuelan U20 national team , he took part in the U20 South American Championship in Chile . Venezuela finished the final round in last place and thus missed the qualification for the U20 World Cup 2019 .
