Kevin Behrens (born February 3, 1991 in Bremen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with SV Sandhausen .

Career

Born in Bremen, Behrens enjoyed most of his football training at the Bremen district club ATS Buntentor and at SC Weyhe .

In the summer of 2008 he moved to the youth performance center of the Bundesliga club Werder Bremen , but could not recommend himself for consideration for the professional or third division team. He spent his first season in senior football in the fünftklassig playing third team of the association.

After three years in the Regionalliga Nord with SV Wilhelmshaven and Hannover 96 II , the attacker left northern Germany in the summer of 2014 and moved to the western regional division Alemannia Aachen . At the end of the 2014/15 season , Behrens was runner-up with Alemannia, one point behind champions and promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach II .

After only eight league games for league competitor Rot-Weiss Essen , where he was nicknamed " Thor " due to his stature and long blond hair , the Südwest representative 1. FC Saarbrücken Behrens signed during the 2015/16 winter break . In 85 competitive games, the center forward contributed 41 hits and 31 assists and won the Saarland Cup with the club in spring 2017 . In the promotion round to the 3rd league in 2018 , Behrens and Saarbrücken failed 2: 3 and 2: 2 at the Bavarian champions TSV 1860 Munich .

Due to his performance for the Saarlanders , the offensive player received a three-year contract with the second division club SV Sandhausen in summer 2018 .
