SC Weyhe
The SC Weyhe from 1913 is a sports club from Weyhe in Lower Saxony .
In addition to soccer , the following branches are operated: badminton , basketball , health sports , gymnastics , handball , hockey , karate , cabaret , latin formation dancing , athletics , tennis , triathlon , fitness groups and volleyball .
Club history
The SC Weyhe was created in 1992 from the merger of the ETSV Kirchweyhe with the TSV Leeste . ETSV Kirchweyhe played in the Bremen amateur league from 1954 to 1957 and from 1958 to 1960 .
badminton
In 2010, the badminton division had around 140 active members, around 80 of whom were young people. In point game operation of Bremer Badminton Association (BBV) eight teams are set: The first senior team plays in the Weser League, the second senior team in the national league, the third in the county league and the fourth in the second circle class. The youth teams 1 and 2 play in the youth association league and the third in the youth national league. The student team asserts itself in the student association league.
Soccer
The team had its most successful time in the 2001/02 and 2003/04 seasons in the Oberliga Niedersachsen / Bremen . In 2005 the club waived for financial reasons despite the championship in the association league to participate in the league. A year later, the team was relegated to the national league. The footballers are currently playing in the Bremen district league.
SC Weyhe has strong youth teams. The B-Jugend became champions of the Regionalliga Nord in the 2008/09 season and qualified for the B-Jugend Bundesliga season 2009/10. After the immediate relegation, the team played for three years in the Regionalliga Nord and was relegated in 2012/2013. The U19 secured the national championship title in 2012/13 and thus played in the Regionalliga Nord in the next season. The club withdrew the U19 from the Regionalliga Nord in 2014/2015 despite relegation.
hockey
The men's team plays in the 2nd Bremen Association League in the 2016/2017 field season. In the 2016/2017 indoor season, the SC Weyhe hockey team plays in the 2nd Bremen Association League.
Triathlon
The triathlon division was formed in 1998. Since 2011 it has organized the Weyher Duathlon as its own event .
American football
From 1994 to 2010 there was an American football team with the Weyhe Vikings. This played in the seasons 2004, 2005 and 2007 in the second-rate German Football League 2 .
