Badminton divisions
The designation and number of the divisions in which badminton team competitions are held depends on the countries or national associations. In Germany and Austria the top divisions are called the 1. Bundesliga, in Switzerland NLA, in the Netherlands Eredivisie , in Indonesia the Indonesian Super League .

Divisions in Germany
Between the federal level of the German Badminton Association and the regional associations, the "groups" are interposed to organize the sporting competitions. They have no function as association political organs.
Divisions in Germany - Group North
The Northern group comprises the regional associations of Berlin-Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein. It organizes the various North German championships and operates the Regionalliga Nord and the Oberliga Nord.

The group west is identical to the state association of North Rhine-Westphalia. He organizes the West German championships. The top division is the Regionalliga West.

Divisions in Germany - Group Southeast
The Southeast Group brings together the regional associations of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony. The group is the sponsor of the Southeast German Championships. It organizes the Regionalliga Südost, which up to and including the 2018/2019 season was divided into the two seasons East (North Bavaria + Saxony) and South (South Bavaria + Baden-Württemberg).
