Saint-Gelven ( Breton Sant-Jelven ) is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Bon Repos sur Blavet with 326 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . The inhabitants are called Saintgelvenois (es) .

geography

Saint-Gelven is located about 40 kilometers southwest of Saint-Brieuc on the southern border of the Côtes-d'Armor department.

history

The parish was established in 1850 from parts of the parish of Laniscat . On January 1, 2017, she merged with Lanicat and Perret to form the Commune nouvelle Bon Repos sur Blavet . It belonged to the arrondissement of Guingamp and the canton of Rostrenen . The community was also a member of the Kreiz-Breizh community association founded in 1993 .
