Brendan from Birr
Brendan von Birr (* around 500 in Ireland ; † uncertain: November 29, 573 in Birr ) was an Irish abbot and saint . His exact year of birth and place cannot be determined. He ran the monastery in Birr and was allegedly friends with Columban von Iona . Brendan is considered to be a pupil of St. Finnian of Clonard . It is possible that he died on November 29, 573, although the place of death could not be clearly proven. Brendan was canonized ; his feast day is November 29th.
He is assigned to the Twelve Apostles of Ireland .
