Brexit Steering Group

The Brexit Steering Group (BSG), in English " Brexit Steering Group ", is a group of members of the European Parliament who are accompanying the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union . The group accompanies the negotiations and coordinates the statements and opinions of the European Parliament. The steering group was set up in 2016 by the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament and works under it; it is headed by MEP Guy Verhofstadt (formerly ALDE , now Renew Europe ). The group met and continues to meet regularly with Michel Barnier , head of the Brexit negotiations on the part of the European Union.

In addition to the group leader Guy Verhofstadt, who is also the European Parliament's representative for the Brexit negotiations, the following MEPs are also members of the group.
